Parenting And Bhagvad Gita- Practice What You Preach

https://ffrf.org/outreach/awards/special-awards/item/24734-ron-reagan-unabashed-atheist-award

Ron Reagan, the "unabashed atheist, not afraid of burning in hell," who kindly recorded a recent much-censored TV commercial for FFRF, is the liberal son of Ronald and Nancy Reagan.

KRISHNA does not tell anything in the Gita that He Himself does not Practice. As the Father of every living entity He cannot tell us to do something that He Himself does not do.

So here we have Ron Reagan, a lifelong atheist -- KRISHNA is providing him daily for 50 years and not expecting that he will become an atheist or accept Him. So KRISHNA follows what He tells in Bhagavad Gita Chapter 2, Verse 47; Karmanye Vadhikaraste ... One of the most popular lines from the book that almost every Indian knows.

In this verse, KRISHNA is teaching us to work without attachment to results and we can see that He himself practices that. He is taking care of Ron Reagan every day and yet He is detached from the results -- He does not expect Reagan's reciprocation.

So similarly as Parents, we can always remember this Golden rule that we cannot tell our children to do something that we our self do not do. It never works. We waste time, we are lazy, we gossip and we are addicted to Mobiles and yet we want our Children to not waste time, to be active and not lazy, to never gossip about anyone and never touch the Mobile. Will not work.

HARE KRISHNA!!!
